Hello there!

I’m the founder of IOT and a passionate Occupational Therapist with over 13 years’ experience, covering children and families of all ages and abilities. A core focus of mine has always been supporting children and adults with Disability and people who identify as Neurodivergent.
I am also very passionate about building the skills and knowledge of my team to offer a meaningful and respectful Neurodiverse Affirmative approach to therapy. It’s exciting to be building a community of individuals who are prepared to partner with children and families on their unique journey, embracing that through this relationship, real transformational change can take place.

“Our approach aims to see each child, person and family become their most authentic self and embrace a true sense of belonging.”

I set out with a vision in 2020 to set up a clinic, a space and community to meet the needs of neurodiverse little people and their families through responsive and safe, child and family-led services. I was committed to finding like minded ‘hoomans’ who shared the same values, hopes and dreams for therapy services. I also wanted to be able to include animals in my practice as I am constantly astonished and amazed at how interacting with the therapy dogs can create such a biological shift toward regulation, connection and safety. Therapy dogs can be a real game changer for children and parents alike in their journey!

From one clinic with just two therapists to two clinics with nine therapists – I couldn’t be prouder of Inside Out. We have come so far! Opening Burpengary this year has been incredible and I can’t wait for you to see all the amazing things we have to offer as we grow and build this service and clinic. Watch this space!

I’ve completed training in the DIR® Floortime approach, Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, Wilbarger’s Brushing Protocol, Parent Coaching & Routines Based Intervention frameworks, Brainspotting, Protective Behaviours, Complex Communication, Trauma Informed Care, Complex Seating, and much more! I’m also experienced with Equipment Prescription and Home Modifications under the NDIS, having worked in the scheme since 2014.

When I am not dreaming up new ideas for IOT and delighting in the latest research in Occupational Therapy, autism, trauma, and sensory integration…

I love animals, the ocean, and being outdoors. My calm space would be near water. I also love to laugh and be silly! I am young at heart and think that we could all do with more time for play and creativity. I am great at starting all the projects and just love people, their stories, their ideas and perspectives – best explored over a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

My favourite childhood memories were refusing to wear anything but dresses but then insisting on getting really dirty in them outside playing!
