Occupational Therapist

Lara Krueger

Hi there, my name is Lara. I am a determined and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who has a passion for honouring the diversity of our little people and promoting inclusion every step of the way.

I have experience working with neurodivergent children across different ages and varying support needs. Prior to becoming an Occupational Therapist, I worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant here at Inside Out Therapy where I facilitated sessions both in-clinic and out in the community at schools, daycares, and Kindy’s.

I absolutely love being an OT because I get the privilege of working with the most wonderful clients and providing support to families, caregivers, and stakeholders along the way. I am enthusiastic about helping to create a safe and nurturing space for our little people to come, and love that I get to experience fun and play-filled sessions every day.

I have completed training in the DIR Floortime Approach, which is foundational to children’s development and uses a play and relationship-based approach. This approach can be used with our littlest clients, as well as our bigger kids and teens. I am also constantly broadening my knowledge in everything OT related and am passionate about ongoing learning.

I grew up in a small coastal town, north of Brisbane. My childhood was spent playing outdoors in the sun and searching for shells in the sand. I still enjoy getting out into the sunshine whenever I can and feel happiest when I’m with my family and friends, shopping, and reading books.
