FAQS

Learn More About Our Therapy Services

Neurodivergent people (including those who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia or other neurodevelopmental differences) think, learn, process information and experience the world in unique ways. While these differences are a natural part of human diversity, living in environments that aren't always designed to support different ways of thinking and learning can present challenges.

At Inside Out Therapy, we take a neurodiversity-affirming approach. We don't seek to change who someone is - instead, we celebrate individual strengths, provide the right supports and help people build the skills, confidence and connections they need to achieve their goals and thrive in everyday life.
An Allied Health Assistant works under the supervision of a qualified and registered allied health professional, such as an Occupational Therapist. They may be studying towards an allied health qualification or have completed relevant training and work closely with your therapist to help implement your therapy plan.

An Allied Health Assistant may be recommended if you or your child would benefit from additional hands-on support to achieve therapy goals. They can provide support across a range of settings, including at home, school, in the community or other everyday environments, helping build skills, confidence and independence.
If your child’s been having difficulty at child care or school, support from an OT, speechie, or counsellor can make a difference. We can understand the triggers, work on building skills, consult with their teacher, advocate for their needs, and recommend tools that may help.
If your child is having a hard time at home, an OT or counsellor can bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to help create a safe, supportive home environment. We take a whole-family approach so that we can offer support that helps parents, siblings, and the whole family connect.
Yes! We regularly support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants and can help you establish a therapy schedule that aligns with your goals, support needs and available funding.

We can provide recommendations, reports and supporting documentation to help you make the most of your plan, including reports for plan reviews, evidence of support needs and recommendations for assistive technology (where appropriate).

Our services can be tailored to your NDIS goals and funded supports, including capacity building, increased social and community participation, improved relationships, health and wellbeing, learning, daily living and greater independence.
If you’re having a hard time finding therapies that engage your child, you’re not alone. The right therapy makes all the difference. We offer a range of options to make therapy fun, engaging, and relevant for your child, from play-focused rooms, group programs, and therapy dogs to rock walls, crafts, and challenging games. Most importantly, we responsively follow your child’s lead throughout each session.
Not sure where to start? That's perfectly okay. Our process begins with a detailed questionnaire to help us understand your individual or family's support needs and match you with the service that's the best fit.

Wherever your journey begins, we'll help guide you to the right therapy and the right therapist, so you can feel confident you're getting the support that's right for you.
It’s easy to book with us — but we do have a process in place to make sure we’re the right fit for each other (learn more about how we work). Start with our online enquiry form. Or if you would like further information about our services, please feel free to call or email our admin team for assistance.

Once you have completed our questionnaires, we’ll get back to you via email to confirm that we have received your info and let you know your next steps. Please don’t forget to check your junk folder!
