Stella McLeod

Hi! I’m Stella and I’m a Paediatric Occupational Therapist here at Inside Out Therapy.

I am passionate about supporting children and their families in a playful, meaningful, and connected way. I use a play-based, child-led approach to therapy, where fun and imagination are at the centre of learning and growth. I believe that when children feel safe and empowered, they are free to explore, develop, and thrive. My work is grounded in building strong, trusting relationships, not just with the child, but with the whole family.

Previously, I gained valuable experience working in the community with both children and adults, which helped shape my holistic and flexible approach to care.

I’m also passionate about lifelong learning and love deepening my understanding of how to best support kids and families. Recently, I completed training in Neurodevelopmental Theory to Practice, which focuses on brain-based approaches to whole child development and has truly reinspired the way I work. I’m also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and have completed the Working Safely with Families and Trauma course, both of which continue to shape my trauma-informed and family-centred approach.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me spending time at the beach, cuddling my beloved fur babies, sipping on a good coffee, or doing Pilates! I also have a soft spot for paint-by-numbers, it’s my go-to creative outlet!

I feel incredibly lucky to do this work, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside children and families as they build confidence, skills, and joy in their everyday lives.
