Hello, my name is Lauren and I am an enthusiastic, playful Occupational Therapist with a passion for inclusion and celebrating diversity. I value connection and creating a safe place for my clients. I strive to be an ally to the neurodivergent community through practicing in a way that is neuro-affirming. I value a collaborative, evidence-based approach to practice that is strengths-based and family-centered.
I strongly believe children’s learning and development occurs most fluently through child led play, exploration and collaboration. I really see the importance of utilising play-based and relationship-focused approaches in supporting children to reach their goals. I will always strive to ensure that the goals we are working together to achieve are meaningful to each child and their families within the context of their everyday lives.
I love my job because I get to work (play) alongside children and their caregivers and enjoy the laughter, joy, interaction, and connection that children afford.
In my spare time you will find me running around after my three young and busy girls. You are likely to find me exploring and enjoying the outdoors or in a cafe enjoying a coffee and something sweet.
