Jasmine Lange

Hello, my name is Jasmine and I am the new Speech and Language Therapist to the Inside Out Therapy team. Over my career, I have become passionate with supporting and advocating for the neurodivergent community and working alongside young people and their families.

I feel so lucky to have found a job where I can create a safe and fun space for young people to learn, while also providing a break from any life expectations outside of our sessions. Supporting young people to be able to communicate their wants, needs, feelings, and thoughts with those around them, brings me so much joy and further drives me to continue to grow my knowledge and skills.

I have developed a strong interest in supporting non/minimally speaking individuals, by advocating for and providing a multi-modal communication approach (i.e., Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Key Word Signs, and spoken language). I have also developed a passion for supporting Natural Language Acquisition (Gestalt Language Processing) and working alongside families to understand and support their child’s communication. This passion led to me complete a recent training to support the implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with Gestalt Language Processors. I am looking forward to exploring further training opportunities over my continuing journey in this exciting career.

I am relatively new to Brisbane, moving over from New Zealand in the beginning of 2023. In my spare time I enjoy video calling my family back home, watching my favourite TV shows, going for an occasional run, and most importantly dreaming about my future pet dachshund.
