Hello, my name is Elsa and I am a paediatric physiotherapist at Inside Out Therapy – and yes I do love to build snowmen 😊. I think I was always destined to be a physiotherapist, as I find great joy in moving my body and playing sports!
I have been working as a Physiotherapist for over 5 years supporting children with a range of diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Rare Genetic Syndromes, Global Developmental Delay, Autism, ADHD, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and chronic pain conditions such as Juvenile Arthritis. I have worked across many different settings including hospitals, community, clinic settings, schools & kindies and in hydrotherapy settings. I have been recognised as a titled Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner within paediatrics, with extra study and experience working with children with complex physical disabilities and goals.
I am passionate about working with children and their families to achieve goals, build confidence and find connection through movement! Children deserve to be able to access their environment, play and interact with their peers. I love making therapy accessible, fun, child-centred and strengths-based to promote independence, health and community participation.
I have completed training in Orthotic prescription, Wheelchair fitting and prescription, Turtle-bracing, Cerebral Palsy Gross Motor Functional Assessments, and Paediatric Functional Neurological Disorder. I have experience in Aquatic Physiotherapy, and working in transdisciplinary teams to support children holistically. I am looking forward to completing training in DiR Floortime and Paediatric Pelvic Health over the coming year.
When I’m not at Inside Out Therapy, you will find me outside – walking, playing softball or volleyball, swimming, at the beach, camping or even just singing in the rain.
