Hello, my name is Chris. I hold a dual bachelors degree in Psychology and Counselling from USC.

A core focus of my practice has always been about building the personal resources of children and young people and helping them develop healthier coping and communication skills. My passion lies in working with the neurodiverse population to help build resilience and create the conditions for deep mental health improvements to occur.

I have worked with children and teenagers struggling with a range of challenges both within the education system and as part of a wider community clinic, in particular around emotional regulation, focus, and challenging behaviours.

I aim to support clients and their caregivers using a person-centred, strengths-based approach to build collaborative outcome-informed relationships. Without the jargon, this simply means creating a safe space to get to know our fascinating and unique young people and learning to play and have fun as a therapeutic experience through evidence-based practice.

Working with the transformative power of learning to recognise and use their own personal strengths alongside challenging unhelpful narratives helps to build an individual’s sense of autonomy and allow them to flourish.

I grew up in the north west of England and my favourite childhood memories involve exploring old ruins and castles, or making a mess. I was always keen to draw or paint on whatever surface was available.

I am a dad to two primary aged girls and in my spare time I may be found drinking coffee with the other dance dad’s, spending quality time with my family or outdoors exploring the beautiful beaches, forests and mountains of the Sunshine Coast.
