Hi, my name is Alicia and I’ve always been interested in understanding human behaviour and supporting others, long before practicing as a provisional psychologist.
I have clinical experience working with both children and adults across a range of presentations, including personality, trauma-related, mood, and anxiety conditions. Prior to practising as a provisional psychologist, I supported children and young people in residential care and within the NDIS space, which strengthened my passion for supporting children and young people with complex needs.
When working with children and young people, I value attachment-informed, child-centred, and play-based interventions that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and evidence-based. I enjoy working closely with both caregivers and children, to support skill development, build confidence, and foster greater independence.
I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neurodivergent-Affirming Practices, and I am committed to ongoing professional development. I am currently expanding my knowledge through further training in DIR/Floortime and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to continue broadening my therapeutic toolkit.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and connecting with friends and family.
