We respect and understand just how challenging the journey of parenting a unique little person can be at times. Our tailored support and coaching offers strategies to make everyday struggles just that bit more manageable. We work collaboratively with you to come up with solutions that work for you — and your entire family.
Although it’s usually parents tapping into our coaching and support, we can also work with siblings, grandparents, other caregivers, and members of the extended family — all in a neurodiverse-affirming, family-led way. We’ve designed these sessions for family members that are seeking extra guidance and support alongside their child’s own therapy journey.
Coaching sessions run for 40-45 minutes and appointments are available in-clinic, over Zoom, or on the phone.
Tap into a wealth of experience and support through our online Parent Learning Sessions with our founder, Melissa. We recently launched a series of parent-only group sessions via Zoom, allowing us to dive into topics relevant to supporting and caring for neurodivergent young people. Some of the topics we’ve covered in the past include sensory processing, regulation, social emotional development, daily routines, sleep, neurodiversity, supporting behaviour, transitions, schooling, and mealtimes.
These sessions are ideal for:

We offer a range of funding options. Many of our clients have NDIS funding (we accept self-managed or plan-managed funding only). If you do not have an NDIS plan, you may be able to get a GP referral to help cover the cost of therapy through a Mental Health Care Plan which can attract a Medicare rebate for up to 5-10 sessions per year. You may also be entitled to rebates on your Health Fund. All of our fees are in line with the current NDIS pricing guide. We welcome all enquiries about pricing.
Please note: We no longer accept Chronic Disease Management Plans or Team Care Arrangement Plans.
Our Occupational Therapists and Counsellors coach parents and family members as part of the therapies and support we offer your child.
We will help you discover new ways to support and connect with your child. For example, creating a home environment that supports positive behaviour, independence, and greater harmony (for your whole family). And we can provide a much-needed listening ear, along with specific advice on any challenges.
Yes! We’re allied health therapists that work with neurodivergent kids and families, including kids with ADHD, autism, and trauma. During therapy sessions, we use a range of approaches, such as DIR Floortime, Therapeutic Listening, Trauma-Informed Care, Wilbarger’s Brushing Protocol, Sensory Integration, Parent Coaching, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. Where appropriate, we may share insights and tools based on these programs so that you can put them into practice at home and/or deepen your understanding of what your child is experiencing during therapy.
Yes! In addition to coaching you through supporting your child (who is receiving therapy with Inside Out Therapy), we also offer counselling and therapy services for parents and family members.
We offer in-clinic appointments in Burpengary, Kallangur, and Aspley (North Brisbane), or we can conduct telehealth consultations via Zoom, Australia-wide. Our parent learning sessions are available online only.
